Nutcracker Village is a public art project that brings about new traditions, supports local art communities, and raises awareness for local businesses. From November to December, Rosemont residents<\/a> will have the opportunity to explore an outdoor village, featuring four to six-foot Nutcrackers, each custom-designed by local artists. Sponsored by a local business, artists will choose a theme and an array of unique materials to transform their Nutcracker into a one-of-a-kind work of art. Simultaneously, businesses and members of the community can bid at auction to take home one or more of these holiday-themed artworks. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to either a local charity that provides additional support to the local art community or to a charity of the artist\u2019s choosing.<\/p>\n
