Nutcracker wouldn’t be Nutcracker without the local Children’s cast! Dancing alongside the full international professional cast are local Milwaukee children from Studio VIA, LLC. Studio VIA was founded in 2010 by Kim Johnson whose mission is to create a dance studio atmosphere she would have loved as a young dancer, and now as a mother, a safe supportive place to watch her daughter grow up.  She hopes every dancer who walks through her doors learns to love dance as much as she does. All Studio VIA staff is trained to teach dance classes addressing character values first.  This allows dancers to develop the tools necessary to be self driven artists and intentionally creates a positive & supportive team culture. Staff also takes the time to teach “how” to execute dance technique properly through educating dancers in anatomy and biomechanics. Studio VIA provides quality over quantity in dance education.  Whether dance instruction is sought for physical health, personal enjoyment, extra-curricular activity or for professional study, we can accommodate students of all ages and backgrounds.
